Congratulations to all our students who exemplified LOVE so well in the month of September!
“In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy for your partnership in the gospel from this day until now”
When we live life together, one of the natural outcomes of our life, as with Paul, is that we have joy when we consider our work alongside one another. The essence of the gospel message is one of joy that we are able, through Christ, to overcome the tentacles of sin and death. This is a message of His unfathomable love for us that, when fully comprehended will result in unfathomable joy in us. One reality that we want the students at Calvary to grasp is that in the midst of this world with sin, suffering, and brokenness, we can experience joy—that settled recognition that God is still in control. This does require a re-tooling of our way of seeing the world through the lens of God’s Word, His Truth, and in the power of His Spirit. This way of seeing the world is essential to a Christian education and what makes Calvary different from many of our local schools. We recognize that all of creation is the Lord’s; not one square inch of the universe is outside of His domain; He owns it all and claims it all. When we truly recognize this reality, we are better able to relax our shoulders, calm our minds, and settle in to a life of joy.
